ATVO is the broadcast overlay system for iRacing, used by iRacing, RaceSpot, SimSpeed, W Series, ADAC and others. It reads live telemetry from the iRacing SDK, renders professional graphics, and ships with a Theme Editor for building your own overlays.

Built by sim broadcasters, for sim broadcasters

Every feature in ATVO comes from a real production need. We work alongside the teams that use ATVO on air, and ship only what we'd trust in a live show.

iRacing, done right

ATVO is purpose-built for iRacing. Tight SDK integration means the overlay always knows what the sim knows: no polling hacks, no generic sim-racing middleware.

Themes are how directors think

The Theme Editor lets you build and modify overlays visually, binding live iRacing data to every widget. Designers and directors shouldn't need to ask engineers to change a sponsor card.

Live iRacing telemetry

ATVO connects to the iRacing SDK and reads live session data: timing, gaps, positions, sector splits and standings.

Theme Editor included

Build and modify overlays visually and bind live iRacing data to every widget. The Theme Editor ships with ATVO at no extra cost.

NDI and window capture

Send graphics over NDI with the built-in NDI Recorder tool, or capture the ATVO Overlay window directly. Browser source is not supported.

Multi-PC production

The built-in Data Tunnel tool lets ATVO run on a different machine from the one playing iRacing.

Ready-made themes

ATVO Theme 2023 is downloaded on demand through the Appgineering Launcher and previewed inside ATVO before you subscribe.

Live Timing integration

Connect ATVO to our cloud-hosted Live Timing and share the link with your viewers. No server setup on your side.

From hobby project to broadcast standard.

  1. 2014

    ATVO begins as a hobby project

    ATVO is started as a hobby project for the iRacing broadcast community, long before Appgineering exists. The early goal: bring TV-grade graphics into iRacing streams.

  2. 2017

    Theme Editor released

    The Theme Editor ships, letting directors and designers build overlays visually, binding live iRacing data to every widget without needing code.

  3. 2020

    Appgineering founded

    Appgineering GbR is established in Germany to give ATVO a proper home and continue development for the broadcast community.

  4. 2023

    ATVO Theme 2023 launches

    Our flagship graphics package launches, giving every broadcaster a broadcast-ready starting point to use on air.

  5. 2024

    Live Timing launches

    Cloud-hosted live timing replaces the legacy self-hosted Web Timing, making real-time standings accessible to viewers without server setup.

  6. 2026

    Growing broadcaster community

    ATVO is used by broadcasters including iRacing, RaceSpot, SimSpeed, and W Series, with an active community on Discord.
