Ticker problem if the theme was created on another PC⁠›››

I have imported a created theme on another PC. In the editor everything is okay so far, but if I export the theme, the ticker does not work anymore. Neither scrolling nor paging.

However, if I create a new theme and a ticker on this other PC, the ticker will work in the overlay even after export.

Has anyone ever had this problem? maybe a bug?

Sounds like it broke somewhere as there have been a few times that has happened for a few clients of mine.
I have had them look at the ticker in the editor and compared the 2.
For some reason the widget was not on the ticker Template so we selected it and voila.

May not be the issue you are running into though.

I am only aware of some strange issue related to Design Mode with tickers. Not sure exactly what is happening but it seems like properties (such as scroll speed) are not correctly updated (at least in the editor) when Design mode is on. You have to switch it on/off to get them to stick. Maybe something similar is happening?

I am having a similar issue where a theme I copied (by copying the entire parent folder) from laptop to PC results in the copied them opening up completely empty.

I've seen this happen on the same PC, so it seems more related to copying a folder structure than a difference between devices.

Is there a right and wrong way to duplicate a folder hierarchy if you want to make a new theme based on an existing one?

Any thoughts on why my copied theme is opening up empty, even though the original version has lots of widgets and subwidgets?
