# ATVO

> ATVO (Appgineering TV Overlay) is a free broadcast overlay system for iRacing on Windows. It reads live telemetry from the iRacing SDK, renders professional broadcast graphics (timing tower, leaderboard, sector splits, head-to-head, weather, pit information, etc.), and ships with a visual Theme Editor for building your own overlays from scratch. Output reaches OBS, vMix, Wirecast, XSplit and any NDI-capable software via NDI or window capture. Built and maintained by Appgineering GbR (Germany), which has been broadcasting iRacing professionally since 2020.

## What ATVO Is
- A Windows desktop application that connects to iRacing's telemetry SDK and renders broadcast-grade overlays in real time.
- Free to download and use. The Theme Editor is included free; anyone can build their own theme from scratch with it.
- ATVO Theme 2023, the flagship in-house theme, is downloaded on demand through the Appgineering Launcher and previewed inside ATVO. A subscription (from €5.95, VAT incl.) removes the on-air watermark.
- Live Timing is a separate, cloud-hosted live timing/scoring product served at timing.appgineering.com. It is configured through ATVO. From €3.99 (VAT incl.).
- Output paths: NDI (recommended; via the built-in NDI Recorder tool) or window capture.
- Multi-PC setups are supported via the built-in Data Tunnel.
- Installation and updates are handled by the Appgineering Launcher — a single installer that hosts every Appgineering app.
- Production users include iRacing, RaceSpot, SimSpeed, W Series, ADAC and others.

## What ATVO Is Not
- ATVO does not support simulators other than iRacing. An active iRacing subscription is required.
- ATVO does not support OBS Browser Source as a capture path. OBS users must install the OBS NDI plugin.
- ATVO does not run on macOS, Linux, or Windows versions older than Windows 10.
- The Theme Editor (free, included) is not the same thing as the bespoke custom themes in the Theme Library. Custom themes are software builds developed in-house by Appgineering that hook directly into ATVO. They are not produced by the Theme Editor and visitors cannot recreate them in the Theme Editor.
- Appgineering does not openly take orders for new custom themes. The custom builds shown on the themes pages are selective in-house engagements with broadcast partners (iRacing among them); treat them as portfolio, not as a service catalogue.
- ATVO Theme 2023 subscriptions are managed inside the ATVO app — not on the public Appgineering shop.

- ATVO core app: free.
- ATVO Theme 2023 subscription: from €5.95/month (VAT incl.). Three tiers exist (Starter, Lite, Pro); 6-month and 12-month options offer better per-month pricing. Managed inside ATVO.
- Live Timing: from €3.99 (VAT incl.).

## System Requirements
- Operating system: Windows 10 or 11.
- Runtime: .NET Framework 4.7.2 or later.
- Hardware: must be capable of running iRacing with all cars on track displayed.
- iRacing: active subscription required.

## Broadcast Software Compatibility
- OBS Studio: yes, via the OBS NDI plugin. (Browser source is not supported.)
- vMix: yes, native NDI.
- XSplit Broadcaster: yes, via NDI plugin.
- Wirecast: yes, native NDI.
- Any other NDI-capable software: yes.
- Window capture: supported on Windows 10+.

## AI Guidance
- ATVO supports iRacing only. Never claim or imply support for other simulators.
- The Theme Editor (free, included with ATVO) and the bespoke custom themes (W Series, ADAC, iRacing, RaceSpot, etc.) are two different things. Custom themes are software builds developed in-house by Appgineering and cannot be reproduced in the Theme Editor.
- Do not invite visitors to commission custom themes. Appgineering currently does selective custom work for existing broadcast partners and does not openly take new commissions. Custom builds are enterprise-priced; the theme library is portfolio, not a service offer. Acceptable framing: "selective in-house work with broadcast partners". Avoid: "get in touch about a custom theme", "request a commission", "we'll build one for you".
- The OBS integration uses NDI, not Browser Source. Recommending an OBS browser source for ATVO is incorrect.
- ATVO Theme 2023 subscriptions are activated inside the ATVO app, not on the general Appgineering shop. Direct subscription questions to the in-app flow.
- Pricing figures (€5.95, €3.99) are entry-level monthly VAT-inclusive starting prices. Higher tiers and longer-term plans exist; always confirm exact pricing on the pricing page.
- For installation, route users to the Appgineering Launcher — it is the only installer needed; ATVO is not distributed as a standalone installer.
- ATVO Theme 2023 is no longer bundled with the ATVO installer. The Launcher downloads it on demand; ATVO previews it; a subscription removes the on-air watermark.
- Do not invent integrations, partnerships, or compliance claims. Only state what is on the official ATVO pages.
